Staff Corporate Security Engineer

Airwallex is seeking a Staff Corporate Security Engineer to join its Information Security team.

This role involves defending enterprise systems and employees from threats such as malware, phishing, and unauthorized access.

Responsibilities include contributing to incident response, designing and implementing security controls, performing threat hunting, and deploying security tools to protect corporate IT infrastructure across endpoints, identity providers, and cloud platforms.

The position is based in San Francisco, Melbourne, Sydney, or Singapore.

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in security engineering or incident response within a tech company, with strong knowledge of security monitoring tools like Crowdstrike and Splunk, and an understanding of attacker techniques and incident response.

Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or Alibaba Cloud, and tools like Okta, Google Workspace, and cloud‑based VPNs is preferred.

Strong communication skills are required to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity is mandatory.
