Audit Staff Accountant | Public Accounting
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements.
- Perform fieldwork, including testing internal controls and substantive procedures.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed working papers and documentation to support audit findings.
- Contribute to audit reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients and senior auditors to deliver high-quality service.
- Stay current on evolving auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience of public accounting/audit.
- CPA eligibility preferred (active pursuit a plus).
- Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices.
- Proficiency with CCH Tax Software, RIA Checkpoint, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
