We are looking for a seasoned AI Software Engineer to join our team and be part of this mission.In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing the software platform on device that enables Siri to deliver on Apple Intelligence throughout the OS.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of software features that enable end to end Siri experiencesImplement code that is well designed, easy to debug, and highly performantIdentify and propose key architecture changes to help the product scaleProactively look for areas of code to further optimize for performanceDevelop software that interfaces with LLMs and on-device intelligence to enhance Siri capabilitiesLeverage LLMs and AI assistants to enhance engineering productivity, code quality, and efficiency at scaleMinimum Qualifications8+ years experience in developing and shipping production softwareStrong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C or C++Strong understanding of software design principles, OS internals, concurrency, and memory managementStrong familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Assistants for accelerating engineering productivityExceptional problem-solving and interpersonal skillsProven ability to excel in a fast-paced development teamPreferred QualificationsExperience designing and developing systems that are efficient in resource constrained environmentsExperience working on AI software runtimes with strong modeling intuitionExperience building key software components and APIs used cross functionally across different applications and platformsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
