Accounting Clerk - Stockton, CAFull-Time | Temporary ContractWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting all activities within the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices, expense vouchers, and ensuring timely paymentsVerify proper authorization and account coding for all paymentsMaintain and ensure accuracy of non-invoiced receipts reportsInput and maintain approved vendors and customers according to company proceduresHandle accounts receivable functions including invoicing, credit memos, collections, and customer account inquiriesAssist with negotiating past due accounts and responding to credit/audit information requestsMaintain accurate financial records and documentationCollaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient accounting operationsFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standardsQualificationsPrevious accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferredFamiliarity with standard accounting concepts, practices, and proceduresStrong Microsoft Excel and general computer skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to follow established procedures and work independentlyDependable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to work effectively in a team environmentSafety-oriented mindset and willingness to follow plant safety regulations
