We're currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. An ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of general accounting with strong G/L experience.

Job Responsibilities:

General

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals.
• Review expense coding to ensure account and transaction accuracy.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial close functions related to Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, and other related General Ledger accounts.
• Coordinate equipment rental invoicing and maintain billing master file.
• Calculate and file US and GST sales tax returns.
• Assist in organizing schedules and reports for external audit.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Support other team members as necessary.
• Perform other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2 to 3 years hands-on General Ledger experience
• Exhibits strong technical accounting knowledge
• Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
• Solid written and verbal communication skill
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity and manipulation of large amounts of data
• Highly energized team player with an ability to operate effectively in a family-owned organization
