Staff Accountant (sports division)

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Coda Search, in partnership with a prominent organization in the entertainment/sports sector, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Controller in cash management, month-end close, and GL maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee revenue activities, including posting entries, managing accounts receivable, and reconciling balances.
• Manage the entire accounts payable cycle: processing invoices, coding transactions, and allocating costs.
• Process payments via ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
• Maintain the General Ledger by recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
• Analyze expenditures and breakdown costs using Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, addressing inquiries professionally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, focusing on accounts payable or receivable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with billing and accounts payable processes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
