Staff AccountantThe Salvation Army Midland Division Headquarters located in St. Louis, Missouri, is looking for a Staff Accountant. This individual will be responsible for performing full charge bookkeeping/accounting for several centers of operation at the Regional Accounting Center (Midland Divisional Headquarters).This is a full-time exempt position, 40 hours per week, with starting salary of $62,000 a year.The Midland Divisional Headquarters is located at 1130 Hampton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63139.Essential FunctionsReview accounts payable and receipting entries completed by SpecialistsProcess, code and record complex invoices and reimbursement requestsFile monthly sales tax returns for units as requiredPrepare and input journal entries following established accounting proceduresPerform bank account reconciliations for non-assigned locationsReview ledgers associated with related funds and accountsFull job description available upon interview.This job description should not be interpreted as an all-inclusive list. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Fluent in computer use with experience in spreadsheet, word processing and computerized accounting systems. Requires a high level of confidentiality.

Must be a team player, a self-starter, able to handle several projects at the same time and perform well with minimum supervision.
