Staff Accountant

MD&A is seeking an experienced Accountant to support our growing business. The position is located in our Parts division in Clifton Park, NY.

The role will also work in a remote capacity with the finance and accounting team in other offices across the United States.Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:Lead all efforts around customer invoicing to ensure accurate and efficient processing, including delivery to the customer (i.e. Invoicing portals, emails, etc.)Follow up on payments with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely collections, resulting in minimal outstanding past due invoicesServe as the customer support liaison for order processing issues (including invoicing, collections, and shipping)Assisting with the monthly financial closing processPreparing Balance Sheet reconciliationsAssisting with the RMA process for customer returns, logistically and the accountingSupport Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments with ADHOC tasksAssist in inventory cycle counts and year end physical inventory countsMonitor and process employee expense reports through concurInitiating continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processesEnsuring conformance to corporate accounting policies and proceduresSupport internal and external audit requirementsImplement and utilize technology tools to create efficiencies and data accuracyPerform other related duties as assignedPosition Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Minimum 2 years' experienceExperience with export regulations a plusWork independently in a fast-paced environmentOrganized and possess high attention to detailPossess excellent interpersonal skills and communication skillsExperience working in multi-location environments with staff in different locationsSelf-identifies areas of need and takes initiativeProficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExperience with Power BI a plusExperience using an ERP system such as Epicor/Kinetic or SAPAbility to work independently and as a teamStrong working knowledge of GAAPBi-lingual in Spanish a plus
