Everything we do is focused on supporting our specialized teams so they can succeed.RoleThe Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate accounting records, timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position works closely with the finance team to assist with month-end and year-end processes, maintain account reconciliations, and provide cross-functional accounting support.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and record accrual adjustments.Support month-end close processes and assist with year-end financial statement preparation.Assist with TPT reporting, sales tax filings, and state and local tax reporting.Maintain and update fixed asset and amortization schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and reports.Assist with insurance renewals by gathering and preparing required financial documentation.Cross-train in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to provide coverage and operational support as needed.Collaborate with other finance team members on cross-trained responsibilities and ad hoc projects.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes.Qualifications3+ years of accounting experienceSage or Vista Viewpoint software experience is requiredStrong Excel and financial reporting skillsKnowledge of construction job costing is a plusHigh attention to detail and strong time managementAbility to learn, adapt, and collaborate across departmentsProfessional working proficiency in English requiredSchedule Business hours are M-Th 7am - 5pm and Fri 7am - 11amCompensation & BenefitsWage is dependent on experienceSteady, long-term work in a supportive environmentFirst-time homebuyer program with $500 bonus and optional realtor/mortgage supportDave Ramsey SmartDollar financial education resourcesFull benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and sick time401(k) with company match and profit-sharing contributionsFamily-friendly events and team-building activitiesBirthday and work anniversary recognitionCash bonuses for production roles and internal growth opportunitiesDrug Free Workplace
