Staff Accountant & People Ops AdministratorAll In One Accounting is conducting this search on behalf of our client, a growing construction company based in Orlando, FL. Our client is building out their back-office function and looking for a hands-on Staff Accountant & People Ops Administrator to join their lean team of two — reporting directly to the Controller.This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of accounting experience who is ready to take real ownership, grow their skills across accounting and HR administration, and build toward a Controller-track career. You'll be a key part of bringing financial operations fully in-house and helping establish the processes and systems that support the company's continued growth.Accounting - 80%Accounts Payable + Vendor Management• Own AP intake and processing: coding, approvals, vendor communication, and documentation• Maintain clean vendor/subcontractor files and consistent controls• Build a predictable weekly AP rhythm and reduce fire drillsPayroll Support (ADP)• Coordinate payroll inputs and cutoffs (time, changes, deductions) for ~40 employees• Support payroll processing with ADP and resolve issues quickly and accurately• Track and process employee changes that impact payroll and benefitsBank Feeds + Reconciliations (QBO)• Manage transaction hygiene: receipts, coding rules, approvals, and follow-ups• Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations with clean supporting schedulesMonth-End Close Support• Execute close checklist items, supporting schedules, and reconciliations• Help produce timely month-end financials with fewer surprisesConstruction Ops Finance Support (Procore + QBO)• Support job-costing workflow and ensure proper coding and visibility• Partner with Project Managers to keep cost data clean and actionable (training provided)HR Admin / People Ops - 20%This is operational HR administration, not HR strategy.• Onboarding logistics: paperwork, checklists, file setup, systems access, and first-week readiness• Offer letter and admin support: templates, e-sign, and document collection• Benefits and admin coordination: employee changes, enrollments, and vendor coordination• Maintain employee files, acknowledgements, compliance items, and key datesAutomation & Process ImprovementThis role isn't just about maintaining the status quo — our client wants someone who actively looks for ways to improve the work:• Standardize intake, naming conventions, and documentation• Create SOPs, checklists, and recurring task cadences (AP, payroll, close, onboarding)• Help improve reporting visibility across the teamTech Stack• Payroll: ADP• Accounting: QuickBooks Online (QBO)• Operations/Job Costing: Procore (integrated with accounting workflow)What We're Looking ForRequired• 2–3 years of accounting operations experience• Strong AP, reconciliations, and month-end support fundamentals• Experience supporting or coordinating payroll runs (ADP experience a plus)• High ownership, accuracy, and deadline discipline — you close loops• Tech-forward: comfortable learning systems quickly• Strong communicator with vendors, colleagues, and leadership• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related fieldPreferred• QBO experience (bank rules, recurring transactions, reporting)• Procore exposure or construction/job-costing familiarity• HR admin experience (onboarding or benefits coordination)• Experience documenting processes or improving workflowsWhat Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)• AP is predictable, clean, and current — no vendor surprises• Payroll support runs smoothly with clean cutoffs and minimal corrections• Reconciliations are timely and month-end close stays on schedule• Onboarding is consistent and documented• You implement 2–3 workflow improvements that reduce manual workCompensation & Growth• Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 based on experience• Full benefits package• High visibility and real responsibility with a clear path into senior accounting or Controller-track work
