MyStaff is partnering with a well-established company in the transportation industry to add a Staff Accountant to their Omaha corporate team. This is a great opportunity for an accountant who enjoys variety, wants to be involved in more than just the day-to-day, and is looking to grow with a solid organization. This is an in-office position in Omaha.

What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with monthly financial reporting
- Support tax compliance, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and other accounting projects
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established accounting procedures
- Help identify and implement process improvements across the accounting function
- Work with other departments to support company-wide financial and operational goals
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required
- Previous accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Public accounting/audit experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with reconciliations, financial reporting and general ledger xhqgsiq accounting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and communicate effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems
