Our client, a well-established and growing organization in Nashville, TN, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations.

The successful candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Help identify and implement process improvements
• Perform ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms is a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
