Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive Staff Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a direct impact on business performance. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting as needed
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, or opportunities for improvement
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting regulations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Support special projects and ad hoc reporting requests from leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- CPA or progress toward certification is a plus

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- 0 - 2 years' experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
