The Staff Accountant I plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records and reporting.Position Summary The Staff Accountant I is responsible for performing day-to-day general accounting activities, including bookkeeping, payroll support, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain broad exposure across the full accounting cycle while contributing to a growing company.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general bookkeeping, including recording and posting journal entriesMaintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial transactionsSupport payroll processing, including review, reconciliation, and related journal entriesReconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basisAssist with the month-end and year-end close process, including accruals and adjusting entriesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as neededPrepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external auditsAssist in the preparation of financial statements and management reportsIdentify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controlsSupport the broader Finance team with ad hoc projects and analysisLocation This is a full-time, in-office position at SecurTec's corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL.
