Position Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Hauppauge, Long Island, NY (On-Site)

A well-established manufacturing and distribution company in Hauppauge is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Staff Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to the accuracy and strength of the company’s financial operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Perform monthly reconciliations, including bank and credit card accounts
• Support AP/AR processing and fixed asset tracking
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
• Help prepare internal financial reports and audit-related documentation
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and system enhancements

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2–4+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting functions
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
