Headfarmer has partnered with a well-established client in Gilbert, Arizona, in their search for a Staff Accountant with at least 2 years of accounting experience. This is a 3–6 month consulting opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
In this role, you’ll support a variety of accounting functions, including month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting projects as needed.
Work Schedule: Hybrid — 2 days remote and 3 days onsite per week in Gilbert.

Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger activities
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including assistance with preparing financial reports
Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices, including necessary account follow-up
Conduct in-depth research to resolve complex transaction/account discrepancies
Assist with Ad Hoc requests and special projects alongside Senior Accountant and Controller
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred
~2+ years' experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and month-end accounting
~ Strong understanding of debits vs credits, reconciliations and financial statements
~ Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems, such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite or similiar
