Why this job – STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
Join this dynamic, growing agriculture investment firm as their Staff Accountant to support corporate accounting and portfolio entity operations. This role offers an exceptional foundation for early-career accounting professionals who thrive in a collaborative, non-rigid environment rather than a large corporate structure. - Operating Partner Collaboration: Work directly with operating partners to review monthly invoices, clarify data, and verify information.
- General Ledger & Journal Entries: Manage cash, lease, and prepaid journal entries in NetSuite across designated portfolio entities.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in tracking account activity.
- Month-End Close: Partner directly with the Accounting Manager during the month-end close process.
- Board & Financial Reporting: Assist in compiling and managing quarterly board materials and financial packages.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or actively on track to obtain a CPA is preferred.
- 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel capabilities. Familiarity with NetSuite and AI tools a major plus.
- Mindset: Service-oriented personality, strong interpersonal skills, and a curiosity to learn.
- Adaptability: Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working within a small, agile team. xzgxqkn
