Due to continued company growth, we are seeking a talented
Staff Accountant
to join our Finance & Accounting team. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen the accounting function and provide critical support as the business continues to expand.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Position Summary

The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely billing, and efficient transaction processing. This role partners closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.


Key Responsibilities


Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.


Reconcile general ledger accounts and research variances.


Manage customer billing processes and ensure accurate, timely invoicing.


Administer customer refunds, including approvals and supporting documentation.


Prepare, review, and process domestic and international wire transfers.


Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation calculations, and account reconciliations.


Assist with preparation and analysis of financial reports, cost center reporting, and variance analysis.


Provide management with daily sales projection reports.


Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and transactional issues.


Support audits, compliance activities, and internal control processes.


Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects.


Collaborate across departments to support operational and financial goals.


Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.




Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in

Accounting

,

Finance

, or

Business with an emphasis in Accounting

from an accredited traditional (brick-and-mortar) college or university.


2-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, private industry, or a combination of both.


Strong understanding of accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


Ability to handle confidential financial and business information with professionalism and integrity.




Preferred Qualifications


Experience working with ERP systems such as Datacore, Chempax, or similar platforms.


Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or multi-location operations.


Exposure to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
