Staff Accountant

Are you an experienced Staff Accountant looking for an opportunity to join a stable and growing organization? Our client, a well-established company in the homebuilding industry, is seeking a Staff Accountant to become a key member of its accounting team. This Staff Accountant position offers a broad range of responsibilities and the opportunity to make an immediate impact while working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of cash activity
- Prepare and record daily deposits
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable online payments
- Complete daily check runs and ensure timely vendor payments
- Assist with additional accounting projects and financial reporting as needed
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role
- Experience with QuickBooks Online strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas (no VLOOKUPs or Pivot Tables required)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
