SSIS ETL Engineer
CHICAGO IL (HYBRID 2-DAYS PER WEEK)
Contract role
Hands-on Data/ETL Engineer with 10+ years experience who can independently open and understand existing SSIS packages, determine what each package is doing, and recreate that functionality in Databricks. This is not intended to be a broad data architecture role—the majority of the work will be dedicated to the SSIS-to-Databricks migration.
Core requirement: Strong SSIS + Databricks experience with proven ETL migration skills.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Databricks-based data engineering.
- Strong SQL and database development skills.
- Experience developing and migrating ETL/data pipelines.
- Ability to understand existing SSIS packages and translate them into modern data engineering solutions.
- Experience with data transformation, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
