We are looking for innovative engineers who develop deep understanding of problems through thoughtful data-driven analysis and then shepherd the solutions through the lab to real world deployment. Success requires developing an end-to-end view of systems across layers and across disciplines, and then helping to bring solutions through the lab to become real-world technologies and products.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in and contribute to research systems engineering for the evolution of 5G, 6G, and Wi?Fi radio technologies, end-to-end systems solutions, and cross-layer optimizations for wearables, automotive, robotics, and industrial applications.Conduct research on system architecture, protocols, virtualization, XR, agentic/physical AI, AI-native wireless, security, perception technologies, sensor fusion, and on-device/distributed/cloud computing.Perform theoretical analysis, simulation, and prototypingActively participate in design and review sessions.Contribute to Qualcomm's IP portfolio and provide systems support for research testbeds.Participate in working groups of standards organizations including IEEE, 3GPP, ETSI, ORAN and others.Required QualificationsExperience in digital/wireless communications (e.g., information theory, coding theory, signal processing, optimization, AI).Demonstrated ability to design communications simulation toolsStrong programming skills in C/C++/MATLAB/PythonFamiliarity with Windows and Linux computing platforms.Preferred QualificationsPh.D. degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.Knowledge of or experience with:3GPP or IEEE standardsRAN (LTE/NR/WLAN) protocol designModem algorithms designInterference and mobility managementNeural network model design and trainingData-driven designPerception technologies (e.g., 6DoF, IMU and visual processing)Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Hugging Face).Solid understanding of deep learning theory, linear algebra, statistics, (statistical) signal processing, information theory, optimization, and wireless communications.Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :$122,500.00 - $183,700.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
