Sr. Warehouse OperatorThe Sr. Warehouse Operator is responsible for and will be trained in export processing, load, unload, move materials within or near plant, warehouse, or work site and manually packages materials and products for outbound shipments domestically and internationally.
The warehouse operator will work with the other materials team members to expedite timely and cost-effective solutions for importing and exporting materials to and from company, customer and supplier facilities while maintaining accurate inventory records.Primary ResponsibilitiesDaily priorities are pulled from the ERP system, each team member manages their daily workload through the CSI Workbench. Utilization of handheld barcode scanning guns where applicable.Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using company provided tools, and at times by hand into vehicles ensuring proper wrapping to prevent damage in transit. Occasionally loads containers by hand when required.Transports materials from various locations to work sites/locations using a variety of material handling tools and equipment.
Outbound shipments are scheduled with freight carriers as needed.Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, gaylords or other containers.Troubleshoot and address any issues or problems that arise moving any material, finding creative solutions and keeping team members well informed of the status and potential changes to delivery schedules.Work with other members of the materials team on continuous improvement projects to reduce errors and reduce costs as directed by the Team Leader.Cleans assigned warehouse and work areas daily. Returns tools and equipment to designated areas.Fills out daily inspection sheets for forklift and electric hand trucks and may complete minor maintenance including making simple adjustments or repairs such as oiling and greasing forklift truck.Assist with inventory related tasks which may include cycle counting or other methods of inventory control.Experience - Senior Warehouse Operator5-7 years warehousing responsibilityStrong project management skillsTeam player with well-developed problem-solving skillsDemonstrated collaboration capabilityExcellent analytical skills and significant comfort working with numbers and MRP systemsKnowledge of standard procedures for receiving and shipping including customer requirements and state and federal regulationsStrong written and verbal communication skills. Works well with people across the organization to gather information, make decisions/recommendations, and drive improvementExperience with Microsoft OfficeBasic QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma required, additional technical training preferredExperienceThree to five years warehousing responsibilityWorking ConditionsManufacturing & warehouse environmentsWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand and/or sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk and hear.There is a requirement to be on your feet, walk and reach with arms and hands.The associate will be tasked to lift and/or move items weighing 20 pounds or less and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40+ pounds.At no time is the associated expected or allowed to endanger him/herself in the conduct of this job nor his associates or visitors.The position requires the wearing and eye protection and protective footwear
