Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM)David Yurman is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive execution, alignment, and delivery across the Data Management & Analytics organization. This role operates at the intersection of business and technology, owning the operational rigor of agile processes while ensuring business needs are translated into clear, actionable data solutions.The Senior TPM will act as a Scrum Master for data teams and a connector across business stakeholders and data sub teams including Data Engineering, Data Science, and Operational Reporting. This individual will bring structure to how work is defined, prioritized, and delivered, ensuring speed, clarity, and accountability across a complex and evolving data environment.This role requires someone who can engage meaningfully with engineers, challenge assumptions, and understand tradeoffs, while not being responsible for hands-on development.
The ideal candidate knows when to push, when to escalate, and how to unblock teams by navigating the right technical and organizational paths.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary interface between business stakeholders and data teamsGather and translate business needs into clear, structured user stories with acceptance criteriaEnsure alignment on business outcomes, success metrics, and prioritiesPartner with technical leads to ensure work is appropriately scoped, prioritized, and sequencedServe as Scrum Master across data workstreams, leading sprint ceremonies including planning, grooming, standups, and retrospectivesEstablish and enforce best practices for backlog management, story writing, estimation, and sprint planningTrack progress against sprint goals and proactively manage risks, blockers, and dependenciesFacilitate working sessions and UAT support to ensure delivered solutions meet expectationsOversee end-to-end delivery of data initiatives from intake through deployment and validationManage cross-functional dependencies across systems such as Snowflake, Sigma, Oracle EBS, PLM, Middleware, etc.Maintain clear program-level visibility through status reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder updatesDrive alignment across multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing strategic priorities and ad hoc requestsOptimize use of tools such as Jira for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reportingMaintain structure around intake, prioritization, and governance of requestsContinuously improve team efficiency, communication, and delivery predictabilityEstablish and lead incident management processes, including defining SLAs, severity levels, and response protocols to ensure timely triage and resolution of data issuesDrive clear stakeholder communication during incidents and lead postmortems to identify root cause, implement corrective actions, and improve overall data reliability and monitoringQualifications7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Scrum Master, or Project Management roles within data or technology organizationsStrong understanding of data ecosystems including data engineering, analytics, BI/reporting, and data science workflowsProven experience running agile delivery at scale, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and estimation practicesStrong ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverablesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholdersStrong communication skills required for stakeholder as well as technical communicationExperience in retail, eCommerce, or luxury goods is a plusWorking understanding of cloud environment (AWS, GCP) and cloud databases (Snowflake, Databricks, PostgreSQL) is a nice to haveWhat Success Looks LikeVisibility into data teams' work for stakeholders and Tech leadership alikeData team operates with clear, consistent agile processes and well-defined backlogsBusiness stakeholders have confidence in delivery timelines and outputsRequirements are clearly defined upfront, reducing rework and ambiguityCross-team dependencies are proactively managedThe data organization delivers with speed, predictability, and transparencyLocation: New York, NY (Tribeca)Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote)Estimated Base Salary: $150,000-165,000Base pay is one component of David Yurman's total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.David Yurman champions self-expression in everything we do.
