Sr. Telecommunications AnalystThis position is being opened to support client Sunday/7 Day operations. GNS Data Center Network Services Department is looking for a Sr. Telecom Analyst.

This is a rotating shift position that will include 3 shifts, weekdays and weekends supporting the client telecom network. The individual will be working with a team engineers who are responsible for the design, testing, implementation and support of telecom technologies.The Sr. Telecommunications Analyst will be responsible for the design, testing and implementation of telecom data network solutions. They will work with a vast team of engineers who will design network solutions, configure telecom network devices and install network equipment.

Maintaining the network will include software upgrades, creating copper and fiber data paths, as well as maintaining customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns. We operate 24/7 and need engineers for the rotational shift positions (3 shifts weekdays and weekends). This candidate must have an understanding of telecom data technologies, a desire to learn and be a team player.Minimum Qualifications:Knowledge of LAN technologies including Ethernet, cabling, VLAN, STP; WAN Technologies: MPLS, Frame Relay, VPN, IPSEC, PPP, T1/T3 and Protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP.Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Cisco Layer 3 Switches, Client/Aruba Layer 2 Switches and Citrix NetScaler Load Balancing SwitchesExperience in the configuration of Cisco Routers, Cisco Layer 3 Switches, Client/Aruba Layer 2 Switches and Citrix NetScaler Load Balancing Switches or like devices.Good understanding of wired systems, networks and protocols including experience in large implementation projects and the ability to create network drawings.Equipment racking: network gear, patch panels, etc.Understanding of Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Power Point).Knowledge Ethernet, cabling, VLAN, STP, MPLS, VPN, IPSEC, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP.Must be punctual, organized and self-motivated, with the ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.Primary Skills: Knowledge Ethernet, cabling, VLAN, STP, MPLS, VPN, IPSEC, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP. Intermediate Management Skills: Understanding of Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Power Point).
