Sr Systems EngineerKBR is seeking a Sr. Space Systems Engineer to work onsite at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO. KBR provides satellite support services to our mission critical customers, conducting real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for operations missions.
We collect performance data on launches for the intelligence community and commercial industries. You will provide single operational and engineering interface to the Satellite Control Network (SCN).ResponsibilitiesWork with Space Systems and satellite systems Engineering Leadership developing systems requirements and provide systems engineering solutions.End-to-end systemAssist developing plans and tasksModernize space and ground systemTroubleshooting and resolution of software issues, Support risk management processes and methodsDevelop documents and briefings to communicate work status, briefs to government as required.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree with 5 years' experience OR a master's degree with 3 years' experience OR a High School diploma / Equivalent with 9 years' experience may be considered in Lieu of degreeSystems Engineering experienceUnderstanding of systems engineering principles and processesFamiliar with Agile developmentFamiliar with satellite operations or other similar systemsTop Secret SCI with a PolygraphPreferred QualificationsProgram Management experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experienceExperience in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all the following platforms: Linux, Windows servers/clients, and Oracle/SQL DatabasesEffectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customersAbility to interface with multiple stakeholders from a variety of organizations (internally and externally) in support of requirements developmentSolid technical foundation in Systems Engineering processesExperience with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environmentsWorking knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environmentDetailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environmentsSecurity + or another DoD 8570 approved certificationBasic Compensation:$120,500 - $160,800 USD annuallyThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Ready to Make a Difference?If you're excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
