Sr. Systems Analyst (Fixed Income Trading)Business AnalystBoston, MAOverview: Our Trading System is available on a 24-hour basis, supporting Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives trading in all global markets. The Senior Systems Analyst will contribute to all aspects of the definition, implementation, and support of the Trading Applications.
This position requires a high level of direct interaction with traders, trade administrators, and portfolio managers as well as excellent communication skills and strong trading domain knowledge.Responsibilities:Partner with the Fixed Income trading business to define and document the requirements for the fixed income trading systemTake ownership for the delivery of functionalityIdentify specific industry initiatives that require product changes and new product development. This extends from improving the existing products to developing next generation products.Collaborate with software developers, database architects, vendors, and other IT and business teams to analyze and determine functional specifications and UI design for new applications and enhancements to existing applicationsDevelop deep knowledge and expertise in the firm's specific trading workflowsWork with traders to prioritize needs and ensure communication to keep them apprised of progressFacilitate resolution of production issues by working with appropriate teams to research problems, track progress and determine and document solutionsQualifications:5+ years BA or systems analysis experience in trading or portfolio managementDemonstrated experience in project management and business analysis for medium to large initiativesStrong knowledge of Fixed Income trading practices and marketExperience with Charles River, Latent Zero, Longview is a plusExperience with Tradeweb, Market Axess, Flextrade, TSOX is a plusStrong knowledge of order management systems (OMS), Financial Information eXchange protocol (FIX), electronic trading practices and marketsSelf-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environmentExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple prioritiesExperience with Oracle/SQL, PL/SQL, VBA, or Java considered a plusBachelor's degree requiredA CFA or demonstrated progress toward a CFA would be considered a plus
