Sr. System and Network Engineer (on-site)

Sr. System and Network Engineer | Hybrid | Northern Virginia

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join its cloud-first IT team on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual will serve as a key technical resource supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and security initiatives in a modern SaaS-focused environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Administer Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Purview, and Security

• Manage Azure, Entra ID, Intune, policy deployments, and endpoint management

• Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless technologies, and VLANs

• Evaluate and improve cloud infrastructure and security posture

• Provide senior-level technical support and infrastructure administration

• Partner closely with IT leadership on modernization initiatives

Requirements:

• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience

• Azure and Intune expertise

• Networking knowledge including firewalls, switches, and VLANs

• Experience working within cloud-first or SaaS environments

• Ability to work onsite in Northern Virginia three days per week

Preferred:

• CMMC or NIST experience

• Palo Alto and Aruba experience

• Government contracting industry experience

Compensation:

• $120,000-$130,000 base salary with flexibility up to $145,000 for highly qualified candidates.

Schedule:

• Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
