Structural Engineer (PE or SE)
This is a senior engineering role for someone who understands that good PEMB engineering does not stop when the calculations are finished. You'll own structural design while working closely with estimating, detailing, purchasing, and manufacturing to keep projects moving from engineering through production.
The company has already invested heavily in manufacturing capacity and automation ahead of its next stage of growth. Now the focus is expanding engineering capability, strengthening project delivery, and bringing in a California PE who can make an immediate technical impact with room to grow into leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Engineer pre-engineered metal building projects using MBS.
- Perform and review structural analysis, calculations, and code-compliant designs.
- Design and review primary and secondary framing, cold-formed steel, and related building systems.
- Coordinate engineering requirements with estimating, detailing, purchasing, and manufacturing.
- Resolve technical issues before they create downstream production problems.
- Maintain clear project communication across functions throughout production.
- Review engineering work for quality and applicable code requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering and project-delivery processes.
- Mentor future engineering staff as the department grows.
- Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Strong structural engineering background.
- PEMB or closely related steel building experience.
- Ability to work effectively in or learn MBS.
- Working knowledge of structural design and applicable building codes.
- Strong problem-solving and project communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate closely with manufacturing and other project functions.
- Strong existing MBS proficiency.
- Tekla or additional structural engineering software experience.
- Metal building manufacturing/fabrication experience.
- Multi-state PE licensure.
- Previous mentoring or engineering leadership experience.
- Preferred location: Central Valley, California.
- Onsite preferred; hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered depending on the candidate.
