We are currently hiring a Full-Time Sr. Strategic Sourcing Lead, Marketinghybrid* in Boston, MA.You will lead strategic sourcing and category management efforts that drive commercial growth and profitability. In this role, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders and suppliers to optimize costs, improve quality, and reduce risk while delivering innovative sourcing strategies.
You’ll play a key role in shaping supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement across marketing categories.*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams' weekly schedule.What You'll Brew:Develop and execute category management and strategic sourcing strategies to drive value and business growthAnalyze industry trends and supply markets to identify risks and strategic opportunitiesLead sourcing events (Request for Information, Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal) and contract negotiations to optimize Total Cost of OwnershipBuild and maintain supplier relationships, including performance tracking through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements, draft Statements of Work, and implement sourcing initiativesManage supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and serviceOversee contract lifecycle management, including Master Service Agreements and amendmentsLead cross-functional projects to improve procurement systems, policies, and processesTrack, report, and validate cost savings and future opportunitiesWork in a dynamic office environment with occasional travel and potential extended hours during critical business situationsWhat Ingredients You'll Bring:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field6+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or related fieldsExperience leading sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier management initiativesStrong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and market intelligenceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage supplier performance and ensure contract compliancePreferred Qualifications:MBA or other graduate degreeStrong program and project management capabilitiesExperience leading organizational or process change initiativesLevel: 5ICAt the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $93,000 and $147,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
