As an SSD Firmware Debug Engineer, your primary role is to triage and debug SSD drive Firmware failures for our data center SSD product line. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Support Engineering team to assist with resolution of customer reported issues and lead activities to root cause failures. This includes tracking multiple issues and driving stakeholders to deliver in high-pressure situations. The candidate will be a critical stakeholder in the decision-making process with an emphasis on providing solutions that are acceptable to customers.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform debug for SSD Firmware related issues reported from customers
- Joint Qualifications and Customer Qualifications
- Work on development of debug firmware in C programming across the SSD firmware stack to accelerate the root cause analysis
- Work closely with core firmware development teams to drive issues to resolution in a timely manner
- Work on troubleshooting SSD performance issues and reduce tail latencies and improve IOPS and throughput
- Perform required lab work to replicate the reported issues
- Create 8D/failure analysis reports and explain to the customer
- Write product use-case technical white papers as needed
