Senior Software Engineer (Platform)Our mission is to improve outcomes and decrease the cost of healthcare for spine surgery and beyond. The Carlsmed aprevo® personalized surgery platform is designed to improve the standard of care for spine surgery one patient at a time.Position DescriptionThe Senior Software Engineer (Platform) will work on projects related to proprietary implants, instrumentation, and design automation systems to enable personalized surgery. This role will work on our full-stack applications, with a strong focus on building engaging, performant frontend experiences powered by robust Node.js and GraphQL backend services. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies and shape the technical direction of our products.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain responsive, performant frontend applications using React, with a focus on component architecture, state management, and user experienceDesign and implement scalable backend services using Node.js/GraphQL and Kotlin/RESTCollaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements into polished, intuitive interfaces and define requirements and delivery timelinesLead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviewsMentor junior engineers and champion engineering best practicesTroubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stackQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field5 – 10 years of frontend, backend and database experience required.

Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in incentive compensation programs and receive a comprehensive benefits package.
