We're changing the world of streaming video and looking for a Software Engineer to be a key contributor to the team while driving the technical design, implementation, and improvement of services.Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable metadata management systems, including developing APIs for metadata ingestion, retrieval, and manipulation, while creating efficient data models for storing and organizing content metadataDesign well-architected solutions and deliver on them with code that is easy to develop and maintainLead technical design and implementation of new featuresParticipate in project phasing and delivery together with your manager, team lead and Technical Project ManagersIdentify areas of improvement in our systems and workflowsTake a user-centric approach to improving our content management systems and data flowsWrite defensive and robust testsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field5+ years of software development experienceProficiency in (in order of importance): Java & Python relational databases (MySQL, Postgres) event or pub/sub driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis) Solid understanding of AWS (Lambda, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, etc.) Exposure to Machine Learning and Computer VisionPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Machine Learning and especially Computer Vision is a big plusAdditional Notes:Intake Notes: - Backend Focus - Proficient with JavaScript/Pytho - 5 plus years' experience - AWS experience requiredInterview Process: - 1-2 Rounds - Coding or Technical Challenge should be expected
