Job Description:
* The selected Software Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the SPA team.
* This role is responsible for developing data analysis products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
* The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree with 5 years related engineering experience
* Demonstrated experience with Python
(Python for both SWE & Data Analysis - weapon system performance analysis, writing python scripts for automating workflow, Pandas/NumPy computing)
* Ability to perform software root cause analysis
* Experience with Bitbucket
* Experience with object-oriented programming languages
Desired Skills:
* Requirements decomposition and testing experience
* Experience with Test Objectives in Missile defense.
* Individual must possess good communication skills.
* Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
* Willingness to assume a technical leadership role if required.
* Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
* **3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply.
* This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States, directly for an employer, without sponsorship now or anytime in the future.
* This client is a US Federal Government contractor and is legally required to hire US Citizens. US Citizens will only be considered for this role.
