Java DeveloperApex Systems is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to write and maintain code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. The Sr. Software Engineer will play a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends.
You will be working on flagship applications used directly by our client’s customers and assisting as needed with new application development.Responsibilities:Participate in agile team activities such as providing input into story sizing, refinement, and release planning for solutionsParticipate in ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.Participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on best practices to share insights with others in the organizationCollaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to define technology objectives, assess solution options and devise architectural solutions that both achieve strategic business goals and meet operational requirements.Engage in reviews of own work and lead reviews of colleagues' work.Cultivate our culture of sharing ideas, practices, and solutions.Qualifications:5+ years of experience with Java, Spring BootWorking experience with React/Redux and React Hooks3+ years working in Azure, AWS, or GCPExposure to REST API integrationStrong understanding of a continuous integration continuous deployment (CICD) modelExperience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
