healthcare software systems supporting both payer and provider use cases. This role blends deep hands-on engineering with architectural influence, playing a critical role across the full software development lifecycle.At Cedar Gate Technologies, an IQVIA business, you will work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, high-performance cloud-native solutions in a highly regulated, data-intensive environment.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance healthcare software systemsBuild and enhance platforms supporting claims adjudication, value-based care, bundled payments, and capitation modelsContribute to architecture patterns, standards, and technical design decisions across payer and provider solutionsCollaborate with product and business teams to translate healthcare requirements into technical solutionsWrite high-quality, maintainable code and guide teams on engineering best practicesReview code, architecture, and system designs to ensure quality, compliance, and consistencyBuild proof-of-concepts and reusable frameworks to support innovation in population health and analytics platformsDevelop APIs and services that enable interoperability across healthcare systemsDrive adoption of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps)Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability in high-volume claims processing environmentsImprove development processes, documentation, and operational proceduresFoster strong collaboration across engineering, product, and healthcare domain stakeholdersJob LocationHouston, TX or Greenwich, CT highly preferredWork ArrangementHybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote)U.S. residents only; work must be performed within the United States.Experience / Qualifications10+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding responsibilitiesExperience building and delivering applications in healthcare claims or related domainsHands-on experience with claims adjudication systems or financial processing workflowsExperience supporting value-based care, bundled payment models, or capitation systemsProficiency in.NET, Java, or bothStrong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable)Proven ability to design and build scalable, multi-tenant, high-performance systemsStrong database design and performance tuning expertiseExperience building APIs and enabling interoperability (FHIR, HL7 experience is a plus)Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile developmentStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience building population health or healthcare analytics platforms is highly preferredFamiliarity with payer-provider data integration and reporting systems is also highly preferredExperience with microservices and cloud-native architectures are preferredKnowledge of healthcare data standards and regulatory considerations are enhancementsAbility to influence technical direction across multiple teamsExposure to security and compliance requirements in healthcare systems would be preferredTo be eligible for this position, you must reside in the same country where the job is located.
