Sr. Software ArchitectWorks under general direction, carrying out a wide variety of complex application development activities and reports to the Infrastructure Manager. Will work on Talend, WebSphere, FileNet and other supporting application frameworks. Candidate must currently reside in the state of IN.

This position is necessary to help DWD/IT meet project specific expectations and to support the modernization efforts currently underway.Essential Job Responsibilities:Evaluating, identifying and developing software solutionsLeads development activities for a functional area, module, or project. Provides and documents technical design and specifications meeting business and functional requirements.Documenting and recording every aspect of an application or softwareMonitors and tunes systems software and networks for optimal performancePlanning, tracking and managing of Agile software development projects using tools such as JIRALocating and directing solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interfaceLooking for problems within software systems and resolving the issuesDeveloping good working relationships with other employees, such as Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers and EngineersDesigns, codes, and debugs new application software programs and/or make enhancements to existing application software programs, of all levels.Tests and debugs new and existing application software.Executes task conforming to shop techniques, standards, policies, and procedures.Uses case tools and/or application development software tools.Provides complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs, including operational procedures.Assists, direct, train and coordinates the work of less experience application software developers and/or application system analyst staff; and assist with development of difficult and complex processes.May function as Team and/or Project lead responsible for completion of project phase.Monitors application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance.Performs related duties as required.Skill - Required / Desired - Amount - of ExperienceProficiency in managing and optimizing Talend Data Integration environments including job design, routine maintenance and troubleshooting. - Required - 3 YearsExperience in TAC and TDC - Required - 3 YearsProficiency in administering Linux servers, managing user accounts, system updates, monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues. - Required - 3 YearsExperience managing and maintaining Windows servers, applying updates/patches, handling Active Directory, resolving issues.

- Required - 3 YearsAbility to manage and track SSL certificates, ensure they are up to date and handle any related issues or errors. - Required - 3 YearsExperience in creating and managing data pipelines in Azure Data Factory specifically targeting Azure Synapse - Required - 3 YearsKnowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell and ability to automate routine tasks and troubleshoot. - Highly desired - 3 YearsExperience with managing and configuring cloud services like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud - Highly desired - 3 YearsFamiliar with network architecture and principles, including routers, switches and firewall configurations. - Highly desired - 3 YearsUnderstanding of other database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and principles of database management - Highly desired - 3 YearsExperience with system monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus - Highly desired - 3 YearsComprehensive understanding of IT security principles, practices and systems - Highly desired - 3 YearsExperience in planning and executing disaster recovery protocols.
