Snowflake Database EngineerLocation: Irving Texas 75039 (Mandate – Locals only as required to be onsite)Duration: 06 Months Contract (Possible Extension/Conversion)Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the Snowflake platform governance, operations, and monitoring.Architect Snowflake applications for various business units and assist in the migration from traditional data warehouse.Manage requests for the Enterprise Snowflake platform.Collaborate with the business units and data engineering teams for effective implementation of the new projectsIdentify opportunities and execute the automation of the platform operations.Minimum RequirementsDegree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.Critical Skills:Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Snowflake administrationExperience in architecting and implementation of data solutions on Snowflake1-2 years of experience in RBAC design for Snowflake environmentsHands-on experience with SnowSQL, SnowpipeDesign the logical architecture of Snowflake environmentsExperience is migrating traditional large-scale data warehouse environments to SnowflakeExperience in setting up monitoring, setting up alerts and performance tuning in Snowflake environments4+ years of experience in SQL based database administration, like Oracle, SQL Server etc.
