This role partners closely with architects and analysts to translate approved designs into working data assets.
The Senior Snowflake Data Engineer supports the engagement by providing deep technical guidance on Snowflake-based data design, transformation patterns, curated data structures, and implementation approach. This individual works closely with the Data Architect / Solution Design Lead and client technical team to help translate approved designs into implementation-ready technical guidance. This role is expected to assist with design elaboration, technical feasibility input, Snowflake implementation, development support, and checkpoint reviews, while helping ensure that the client has the technical direction needed to build and support the solution successfully.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the Data Architect / Solution Design Lead in translating target-state architecture into implementation-ready Snowflake design guidanceProvide input into the design of curated data structures, semantic-supporting objects, transformation patterns, and physical implementation considerationsAssist in defining how approved mappings, derivations, and business rules should be implemented in SnowflakeHelp identify the required technical objects for implementation, including tables, views, materialized views, reference structures, and related artifacts as applicableAdvise on Snowflake development patterns, object design, SQL implementation approaches, and performance considerationsPartner with the Data Architect to support definition of implementation sequencing, object dependencies, and technical design checkpointsParticipate in design reviews and working sessions to ensure the solution is technically practical and implementableSupport the preparation of implementation-ready technical specifications for client development teamsProvide technical clarification to the client implementation team during build, testing, and validation phasesReview selected client-built artifacts at agreed checkpoints to assess alignment with approved design and intended Snowflake implementation patternsAssist with issue triage by helping determine whether questions or defects are related to design interpretation, Snowflake implementation approach, or build qualityContribute to documentation of transformation logic, technical assumptions, implementation considerations, and design decisions
