Sr. Site Development EngineerMariana Minerals is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Site Development Engineer to lead the planning and design of greenfield project sites.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end site development—from early-stage site selection and feasibility through detailed engineering and construction execution—for first-of-its-kind mining and metallurgical processing facilities. You will work cross-functionally across engineering, construction, and project delivery teams to ensure sites are designed for constructability, scalability, and long-term operational performance. You will lead civil, grading, drainage, utilities, and site infrastructure design, manage external engineering partners, and support the development of internal tools and workflows for efficient capital project execution. What You'll DoDevelop and optimize site layouts, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, access roads, and utility corridorsDrive early-stage site selection, feasibility studies, and due diligence, including topography, geotechnical constraints, permitting considerations, and infrastructure accessDesign and review earthwork plans, cut/fill balancing, and mass grading strategies to optimize cost and constructabilityCoordinate site infrastructure systems including roads, drainage, underground utilities, and tie-ins to external infrastructureManage and coordinate external engineering firms, consultants, and contractors supporting civil and site development scopesOversee development of issued-for-construction (IFC) packages for site civil worksCollaborate with structural, process, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure integrated and efficient site designReview and validate 3D models and design packages (Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks) for site and infrastructure systemsConduct constructability reviews and support cost estimation and scheduling for site development scopesSupport permitting and regulatory approvals, including grading permits, stormwater compliance, and environmental considerationsProvide field engineering support during construction, resolving site-related issues in real timeDevelop and improve standards, workflows, and tools for scalable site development across multiple projectsWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)10+ years of experience in site development and civil engineering for industrial, mining, or large-scale infrastructure projectsProven experience delivering greenfield capital projects from concept through constructionProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months (preferred)Technical Expertise Site grading and drainage designEarthwork optimization and mass balanceStormwater management and hydrology/hydraulicsRoadway and access designUnderground utilities and infrastructure systemsWorking knowledge of geotechnical principles and site constraintsFamiliarity with permitting and regulatory requirements for site developmentProficiency with Civil 3D (required)AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BluebeamExperience reviewing and coordinating 3D design models and multidisciplinary layoutsExperience coordinating across civil, structural, process, mechanical, and electrical teamsStrong track record managing external engineering firms and contractorsAbility to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with evolving projectIndustry Experience (Preferred) Industrial manufacturingMining or mineral processingChemical or process facilitiesEngineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environmentsOur culture is built on three principles: Extreme Ownership – We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.
