$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Are you a security expert ready to build and lead security practices from the ground up in a fast-growing crypto startup? Colossus is partnered with a firm seeking a talented First Security Engineer to join their remote team. As our inaugural hire in this area, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing robust security foundations for our cutting-edge crypto products. In a high-trust, meritocratic environment, your impact will drive rapid career advancement.

Description -

• Develop and implement application security (AppSec) and cloud security strategies as our primary focus.
• Oversee compliance with key standards like SOC1, SOC2, and ISO 27001.
• Collaborate with a lean, talented team to integrate security into our crypto-focused products from day one.
• Shape the overall security framework in a startup setting, ensuring scalability and innovation.

You are -

• A security generalist with 8+ years of experience, including deep expertise in AppSec and CloudSec.
• Proven startup experience, ideally in fintech or crypto
• Strong compliance background and familiarity with certifications like SOC1, SOC2, and ISO 27001.
• Strong Security Engineering Sills - Extremely proficient in Python/Go/Rust
