Senior Security AnalystThe Senior Security Analyst will serve as the organization's first dedicated security professional, taking ownership of day-to-day security operations while helping to build a more mature and scalable security program. This role will act as the primary liaison between the organization and its Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), ensuring optimal performance, tuning detection rules, and managing escalations.The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to security operations, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to grow into a leadership position as the security function expands.Location: Columbia, TNCompensation: $45–55/hr (Conversion Salary: $90–110K)Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Work Schedule: Primarily onsite (5 days onsite preferred)Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day security operations including threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability managementServe as the primary liaison to the MSSP, managing escalations and optimizing service valueMonitor SIEM alerts and threat intelligence to identify and respond to potential threatsConduct vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with systems administration teamsSupport incident response activities and documentationMaintain compliance-related security documentation and processesCollaborate closely with the systems administration team and infrastructure leadershipContribute to the development and maturation of the organization's security programPerks:Opportunity to be the first dedicated security hire and shape the cybersecurity functionClear path for leadership and career growthDirect exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiativesAdditional Details:This role reports directly to infrastructure leadership and works closely with the systems administration team.
