SAP Analytics Cloud Quality EngineerWe are looking for a detail-oriented and automation-driven Quality Engineer to build, maintain and use scalable automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Java and Playwright, and is passionate about ensuring product quality through automation, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement. This role blends development and testing — you will design automated test systems and tests, improve CI/CD quality gates, and work closely with engineering and operations teams to ship high-quality software products with confidence.
You will be expected to understand and analyze the requirements and procedures of SAC and create, execute, and optimize SAC Test Cases, as well as for the new HANA Cloud and Business Data Cloud (BDC) products.Responsibilities:Design, develop, maintain and use automated test frameworks using Java, JavaScript and PlaywrightBuild end-to-end (E2E), integration, and API test suitesIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelinesIdentify, document, and track defects through the full lifecycleImprove test coverage, reliability, and execution performanceCollaborate with DevOps engineers and product teams to define test strategiesContribute to code reviews and ensure quality standards are metPerform root cause analysis on test failures and production issuesManual testing will also be part of the day-to-day responsibilitiesIdentify, document, and conduct follow-ups on bugs and quality issuesDevelop test plans and write automation test cases wherever neededRegularly revisit SAC, HANA Cloud and BDC test cases and strategy to incorporate the latest product functionalityRequired Skills & Qualifications:Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScriptHands-on experience with PlaywrightSolid understanding of web application architecture (frontend + backend)Experience testing REST APIsFamiliarity with Git version controlExperience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong debugging and analytical skillsUnderstanding of Agile development methodologies5 years of experience in test automation3 years of experience with SAC or similar productsPreferred Qualifications:Understanding of Node.jsFamiliarity with Docker and containerized test environmentsExperience testing microservices-based architecturesKnowledge of security testing principlesExperience with QA testing toolsExperience with AWSExperience designing automated test frameworks from scratch
