Sr React Software EngineerBranding Brand is searching for a Sr Software Engineer to help create mobile apps and sites for an international portfolio of high-profile brands in retail and hospitality. Ideal candidates are skilled in React and have API / web server experience. TypeScript, Native iOS, or Android knowledge, and Node / AWS experience is a plus.
This is a hybrid position where you will be required to go into an office in Woonsocket, RI a few days a week and work from home the other days.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScriptBuild reusable UI components and ensure consistency across applicationsIntegrate APIs and manage client-side state efficientlyParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint planningOptimize applications for performance, accessibility, and responsivenessCollaborate closely with UX, backend, and product teams in a large-team environmentWork with senior developers and architects to produce world-class mobile e-commerce experiences used by over 10 million visitors a dayContribute to the evolution of our technologyTake web and app projects from mock-ups to completionDevelop mobile frameworks and toolkitsDevelop enterprise React applicationsWork closely with Designers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Account/Project Managers to communicate status of projectsWork with bug tracking/project management software suites, including JiraImplement secure coding best practices and participate in ongoing security training and awarenessQualifications:Strong background in web languages and technologies: React.js, React Native, Javascript, TypeScript, Node.jsStrong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern ES6+ featuresExperience with state management (Redux, Zustand, or TanStack Query)Familiarity with component-driven architecture and reusable design patternsExperience working in large engineering teams and enterprise-scale applicationsSolid understanding of performance optimization and debugging toolsUnderstanding of functional programmingAbility to transform design mockups and wireframes into functional componentsStrong skill-set in creative problem solvingBackground in iOS and Android is a definite plus, but not requiredA solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software designPrior experience in test-driven development is a plusPrior experience in retail or hospitality technology is a plusPrior experience in mobile e-commerce is a plusExperience with Git source controlExperience with bash/command line is a plusExperience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs is a plusExperience with Micro Frontends / Module FederationKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rsbuild)Exposure to design systems and UI librariesAbout Us:Branding Brand launched in 2008 as an interactive marketing firm and quickly evolved into the largest and fastest-growing provider of mobile commerce apps and sites for retailers.Branding Brand is a supporter of the Whitehouse Equal Pay Pledge, and a Top Workplaces award winner.
