QA Automation ProfessionalWe are seeking an experienced and a hands-on QA professional who can help drive automation across applications with various technologies like Web Applications, Big Data, Micro Services and RESTful web API. You will own the test automation infrastructure, with a goal of stability, reliability and clear reporting across all applications. You will work closely with software developers and product owners to understand the product features and technical implementations as well as work with other QA engineers to create the testing strategy, identify components for automation, design, write and execute the test cases. The ideal candidate should be well rounded, self-motivated, experienced with multiple technologies and frameworks and enjoy fast paced development cycles.ResponsibilitiesLead the effort to build new test automation framework or extend existing framework by working with QA subject matter experts to design and develop a reusable architecture for the test automationReview product requirements, functional and design specifications to determine and prepare automated test casesExecute regression tests using the automated test scriptsMaintain existing automated test cases by regularly retrofitting the scripts with the latest updates to the applicationIntegrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelineCreate metrics around automation to measure the performance of the automated testing processDesign and develop the automated solution for sanity testing for various repeatable testsPerform exploratory functional testing, performance testing and security testingReport defects, prioritize their severity and ensure resolution of critical defects prior to releaseWork in an agile environment collaborating with multiple scrum teams to gather and review test requirementsProvide accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration and work effort, along with confidence level, and foreseeable dependenciesWork with offshore teams with multiple time zones to co-ordinate various testing activitiesRecommend new testing tools and provide guidance and expertise in their use and trainingKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field5+ years’ experience in software testing3+ years’ experience in test automationExperience setting up and implementing test automation in Robot Framework and Python based FrameworkExperience in python programmingExperience in developing test plans and test scenarios. Develop and maintain test cases.Experience in testing Micro services and Web services applicationsExperience in testing Hadoop / Bigdata applications covering HBase, HDFS, Hive, Spark, KafkaStrong knowledge in RESTful Web API framework using PostmanExperience in working with NoSQL databases like Mongo DBExperience working in agile/scrum product development environmentExperience in version control/source control management tool like bitbucket and GitHubExperience in CICD pipeline and build tools – JenkinsExperience with Performance testing tools like JMeter.Experience with JIRA or other project management, issue-tracking or bug-tracking toolsExperience with Java, and/or Javascript a plusNatural curiosity, critical thinker, strong attention to detail and highly organizedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivation and an ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentRequired Skills: Strong understanding of the QA platform.
