Sr Project Manager

Position: Sr Project Manager - large Capital Projects

Location: Lake County, IL | Onsite 5 Days per Week | Multi-Year Contract

Duration: 24-36 months

Pay Rate: $70.00 -$ 90.00 per hour W2 -Dependent on Experience + benefits immediately

I am looking for a Sr Capital Project Manager to manage multiple concurrent capital engineering projects across a major life sciences company’s Lake County facilities.

This role offers long-term project work and responsibility for scope, budgets, schedules, vendors, contractors, and project delivery. Projects may include facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing improvements.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple capital engineering projects simultaneously.
• Define project scope, execution plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and facility stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, scope changes, capital expenditures, and competing priorities.
• Lead projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover, as applicable.
• Communicate project status, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders aligned throughout execution.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience managing capital engineering projects.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing experience.
• Facilities, utilities, infrastructure, or manufacturing CapEX experience.
• Experience within an established corporate engineering organization.
