Responsibilities

• Direct the execution of multiple mechanical construction projects, maintaining accountability for schedules, budgets, quality, and overall delivery.
• Guide project teams through planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Oversee financial performance, including project budgets, cost projections, labor productivity, purchasing, billing, and profitability.
• Identify contractual, financial, and operational risks and work with project leadership to implement solutions.
• Provide direction on construction scheduling, resource planning, equipment procurement, and recovery strategies when project timelines are challenged.
• Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to evaluate project scope, pricing, execution strategies, and contractual obligations.
• Lead and develop Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Project Engineers while reinforcing accountability and consistent performance.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with general contractors, owners, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Support business development efforts through client relationships, project planning, and evaluation of future opportunities.
• Promote a safety-focused work environment through active field engagement and collaboration with operational leadership.
• Participate in broader organizational planning and help strengthen project delivery practices across the business.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction project management experience, including substantial experience in mechanical contracting.
• Demonstrated responsibility for a project portfolio or P&L exceeding $50 million.
• Strong technical understanding of commercial mechanical systems, including piping and sheet metal installations.
• Extensive experience overseeing construction budgets, forecasting, scheduling, labor productivity, and project profitability.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage multiple project management teams.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, change orders, risk mitigation, and client negotiations.
• Experience evaluating construction drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and contractual requirements.
• Ability to develop and manage detailed construction schedules, including Gantt charts, critical milestones, and recovery plans.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively across field operations and executive leadership.
• Familiarity with construction management, estimating, and project tracking software.
• Ability to travel as needed for project and business requirements.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities, data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial construction, or similarly complex mechanical projects is preferred.
• PMP, CCM, or comparable construction management certification is a plus.
