Research Analyst/AssistantThe Research Analyst/Assistant is responsible to assist with business and technology market research projects and programs as assigned. The Analyst will be given tasks to perform research on various ecosystem topics, emerging trends and directions, and provide strategic analysis, insights and business recommendations. The Analyst will create reports and organize meetings to present the findings in a multilingual environment.
The Analyst will assist and prepare the executives to participate internal and external meetings, create meeting minutes, gather requirements/inputs/feedbacks, and develop and identify business opportunities, sometimes, serve as influencers, evangelist, internal and external, in a technical and business marketing role, inbound and outbound. The Analyst is also responsible for communicating the project status on a regular basis. The Analyst will have multiple simultaneous projects.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position.Tasks and Responsibilities:Perform business and technology market research as assigned. Hosts and facilitates meetings and conference calls to present findings.Helps ensure capture of details around project scopes with specific steps and timelines.Ensures scope of support documentation in PPT and Word and Excel format for each project.Monitors timelines closely and alerts team members when key dates are not being met. Escalates when necessary.Establishes clear and timely communication with changes or updates on projects to all affected parties.Analyzes results of projects and ties impacts to goals.Coordinates needed training for projects.Creates processes to measure productivity and output on projects.Completes and maintains Gantt charts/project plans and maintain internal website and sharepoints documents.
Works with management to update process maps as needed.Builds relationships with project owners to ensure open lines of communication around project plan.Builds relationships with clients and all functional areas of the company.Coordinates process improvements across all sites and functional areas as needed.Adheres to company guidelines and procedures.Event planning for internal and external events, conferences, meetings, caterings etc. Be able to work in Asia times occasionally.Also serve as executive assistant.Set up meetings, effective meeting minutes, creating ppt slide presentations, and provide professional translations between English and Chinese.Other tasks as assigned.Required Qualifications:BS/MBA degreeKnowledge of the functional areas including operations, ITExperience in project management and executive assistance.Ability to work in a cross functional team.Demonstrated Organizational skills.Demonstrated Self-Management SkillsDemonstrated Executive communication skillsDemonstrated Time Management SkillsDemonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends/correlation analysisDemonstrated Multitasking skills.Demonstrated Communication skills, both verbal and written.Demonstrated Interpersonal skills and customer engagement skillsDemonstrated knowledge and skills in: presentation skills, creating powerpoints, and event planningBilingual required: fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and English.Technical background required: has technology background, preferably has undergraduate software engineering degree, with Master's degree in business.Work experience with Asia-based multinationals required.Desired Qualifications:BS in software engineering, MBA Degree or 2-3 year's equivalent work experience.2+ years' market research experience with project/program management experience.Ability to manage and build processes and procedures.Software/open source background is a strong plus.
