Sr Programmer Analyst IIIAmerican National Group Services LLC is seeking a Sr Programmer Analyst III for their team located at 2525 South Shore Blvd, Suite 150, League City, TX 77573. The salary range for this position is $138,237.00 - $181,600.00 per year.The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, enrollment in a 401k plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.Summary of Duties:Understands business requirements and relates them to system requirements, producing technical specifications.Codes readable, reliable, and maintainable programs in various languages on multiple platforms.Identifies and rectifies errors in coding quickly, showing initiative and a proactive approach.Prepares the initial problem definition, defines project scope and objectives, determines specific requirements, and designs system solutions.Leads and/or provides guidance to junior team members.Performs unit and system testing using approved test plans and scripts.Reviews test results with the business and makes necessary adjustments to the deliverable.Obtains approval and submits proper documentation for migration to the production environment.Records time and status for billing purposes.Responds promptly to production issues by serving an on-call rotation for 24-hour support.Provides analytical support for ongoing maintenance of developed systems.Understands and follows current corporate project management standards.Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical teams.Prepares detailed definitions of proposed solutions including database design, screen and report definitions, data flow, transaction processing requirements, system interfaces, program specifications, and system test cases.Develops estimates of time and cost for development and ongoing operation of proposed service requests.Documents conversion approach, task sequences, and dependencies for implementation plans.Designs and develops manual procedures and user documentation and provides user training.Communicates fluently with business representatives.Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or closely related field.Experience requirements: 6 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.Special Skills or Other Requirements:Utilize advanced SQL for data extraction, transformation, performance tuning, joins, indexing, and query optimization across relational database systems.Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, validate, and load data from heterogeneous sources using ETL tools, cloud-native services, and scripting frameworks.Develop Python-based workflows and automation scripts for data ingestion, data transformation, orchestration, error handling, and integration with cloud and database systems.Implement data solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, leveraging services including cloud storage, compute, orchestration, serverless components, and managed data services.Apply dimensional modeling principles, including star schema and snowflake schema design, to build fact and dimension models supporting business intelligence and analytical reporting.Deliver end-to-end data solutions encompassing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, performance tuning, and production support.American National is a financially strong and stable insurance organization with a legacy of trust and impact dating back to 1905.
