A growing litigation firm is seeking a Professional Liability Attorney to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to handle sophisticated matters, work directly with clients, and play a meaningful role within a dynamic and growing practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong business litigation experience and a desire to manage cases from inception through resolution while working alongside a team that values collaboration, responsiveness, and high-quality legal advocacy.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of professional liability matters involving claims against attorneys, insurance agents and brokers, accountants, architects, engineers, and other professionals. Responsibilities:

• Manage a full litigation caseload from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and dispositive motions in state and federal court
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Handle court appearances and client communications
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Participate in trials as second chair when appropriate
• Provide regular status updates and strategic guidance to clients

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership
• 6-10 years of business litigation experience
• Professional liability, legal malpractice, and/or accounting malpractice experience preferred
• Strong background in discovery, motion practice, and case management
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Superior academic credentials
• Proficiency with litigation and legal research technology
