Sr. Professional Liability Attorney

Professional Liability Attorney - 6-10 Years | Los AngelesJoin a growing litigation firm handling sophisticated professional liability matters - from legal malpractice to accounting and design-professional claims - where you will manage your own caseload, work directly with clients, and try cases, all on a hybrid schedule in Los Angeles. What you'll do:- Own a full professional liability caseload from intake through resolution, including claims against attorneys, accountants, insurance professionals, architects, and engineers- Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and dispositive motions in California state and federal court- Design and execute litigation strategy, including propounding and responding to written discovery- Take and defend depositions independently and prepare witnesses for examination- Handle court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations; serve as second chair in trial with a clear path to first chair- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates and strategic guidance- Collaborate with a team-oriented group of litigators on complex, multi-party mattersWhat you need:- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active California Bar membership in good standing- 6-10 years of civil litigation experience in California state and/or federal court- Demonstrated experience in discovery management and motion practice, including dispositive motions- Strong written and oral advocacy skills with the ability to manage cases independently- Professional liability, legal malpractice, or a closely related business litigation backgroundNice to have:- Experience with accounting malpractice, insurance broker liability, or design-professional claims- Prior trial experience as first or second chair- Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and legal research technology (Westlaw, Relativity, or similar)- Superior law school academic credentialsLocation & schedule:- Los Angeles, CA - West LA - Hybrid- Full-time About & how to apply:This firm is a growing professional liability and business litigation practice known for collaborative culture, direct client responsibility, and a genuine path to trial.
